Rainbow Slinky

They believe they have trapped me.
Those lumbering giants may have size and strength, but they have no stealth. They laid the rainbow slinky right in the middle of the floor. To be sure, the neon blue and green coils did look alluring against the lacquered wood. But I could see the awkward ogres hovering, waiting for me with those idiotic grins and those damnable flashing machines, as if I’d fall for such obvious bait! They think I didn’t know what would happen when I stuck my head into those shining plastic curves. They mistake me for a fool.
They are the fools. Their overconfidence clouds their minds. Their booming laughter and snapping cameras give away their position.
They believe I am trapped. Soon, they will come to free me. They will reach for me with their soft hands and exposed arms.
My claws are sharpened at the ready.
Soon all will know who trapped whom.
